Youth Bus
The Youth Bus is a mobile youth provision (17 foot converted van) that works as a tool for developing detached work and building relationships within the young people’s own 'territory'. Through the Youth Bus we aim to establish trust through reliable, weekly provision in different areas of Inner and Outer South Leeds.
We use a lot of sport and art based elements through this project to engage those involved, having initiated relationships through detached work in and around each area. The Youth Bus primarily targets areas with little or no provision for children and young people. It aims to develop partnerships with other local agencies, with the hope of helping to establish more long term provision within each locality for that particular community, whilst providing positive activities for children and young people to engage in, both on and off of the streets.
